➡️ 1. What is your main target keyword

➡️ 2. Where does your page currently rank

➡️ 3. If you are not #1, whose in the top 10 ahead of you?

➡️ 4. Are any of them similar to your website?

➡️ 5. Are any of the results similar to your content?

If 4 or 5 are no, you might want to re-evaluate your strategy

If 4 and 5 are yes, then building links is a good idea.
